Polyphemus Moth

Let's learn about the Polyphemus Moth!

Adult Polyphemus Moths are nocturnal.

You can tell the difference between a male and female Polyphemus by the look of their antennae. Males will have larger antennae than females.

Polyphemus larvae have 5 life stages, or instars, it will go through before they spin their cocoon and transform into a moth.

Florida should love the Polyphemus moth because it helps to pollinate many of our plants!
