Sandhill Crane Baby

More facts about juvenile Sandhill Cranes!

Sandhill Cranes can have 1-3 babies at a time.

The babies can swim soon after they are born.

Both the mother and the father take turns incubating the egg.

The parents feed the young at first, but soon the baby can get food on its own.

Many Crane families end up by roads in Florida, so be careful of these animals when driving!
