All About Bass

 

Let’s learn the difference between the largemouth bass, the smallmouth bass, and the spotted bass!

All three of these bass are species of sunfish.

The largemouth bass has a green/olive coloration on their head and back. It also has a broad black stripe running down its side. The mouth extends beyond the edge of the eye.

The smallmouth bass has a brown/bronze coloration with dark vertical bars on its side. Its mouth ends at the front of the eye.

The spotted bass has light to dark green coloration with silvery sides. They have diamond shapes spots on their sides.  Its mouth ends with the back of the eye.
